Mr. Frederick represents Hitler, Mr. Pilkington represents Churchill and Roosevelt. Because America and Britain was the rival of Soviet Union, Mr. Pilkington tries to overcome Napoleon.

I agree with Nick that Orwell made sure the reader knew who people were and that he explained why.

George Orwell handles these relationships quite well. I agree with Eric that Mr. Frederick represents Hitler, and Orwell showed this by the rumors of maltreatment on Mr. Frederick’s farm and the making of false money. In real life, Hitler mistreated the Jews and other groups, and he probably cheated people on deals. Orwell also used Mr. Pilkington and other farmers to represent countries in the world. I think Orwell was successful in his representations because he used characteristics of real people and countries in his book very well, but he still gave the book a twist.

I believe Mr. Frederick represents Hitler. there are a lot of rumors about him killing and abusing his animals. Also when he trades with Napoleon he cheats and breaks there agreement. I think that this displays Orwell’s opinion of Hitler and Stalins relationship.
